Well what can I say great grandad you have lived a very long and fulfilled life and I'm happy you are at rest now and not hurting. I always enjoyed coming to stay with you during the holidays when I was younger. I enjoyed walking blacky and Trixie through the back fields. I loved the traditional Irish fry ups we would have in the morning with Nan getting stressed with all the cooking. But also that one time that we had gotten fish for dinner and we had to cut the fish out of the batter all because I don't like fish! I have so many amazing memories that I could sit here all day and talk about them. I will be thinking of you forever and always and make you a proud great grandad. Lots of love Grace ❤️❤️❤️

So many wonderful memories Grandad. You always had a great sense of humour, warning us of the perils of adulthood and wickedness of boys! You made sure we always went to bed with a hot water bottle. I still do this now, passing on the tradition to Emily and Sophie. I'll never forget the time you collected us from the airport with a Halloween mask that freaked Smokey out along with many other passers by but we laughed so much! I loved our trips to the markets, you always told us to take from the back of the shelves for the most fresh things and taught us the benefit of bartering. You sparked my love for horses, which is strong today, I'm still riding and so are the girls. Although I'm still not sure about donkeys! I remember running down a hill to see if we could beat a herd of horses, we didn't get far but the sense of freedom was like nothing I've ever experienced before. A big part of my heart will forever belong to your home and land, even now as an adult the countryside is where I feel most happy. I'm so glad Will and our girls got to spend time with your before lockdown, you always smiled so much around your grandchildren. Many great meals cooked in your old school aga and trips to the shops for treats. You developed a sweet tooth over the years of our childhood and had a soft spot for cake! I remember you letting me drive your car quite a few times when I was learning to drive, you were surprisingly very patient! You were always so generous and made me feel loved. RIP x

RIP Grandad,
Will always carry all our wonderful memories of coming back home in our school holidays to spend time with you my greatest memory that I will always hold close to my heart is when we bang one of the horses through the house, this was very funny afternoon.
Rest at peace and stay close to us all.
Sending lots of love from over the waters
