Pat Devine’s daughters Gráinne and Eilish, son Patrick, grandchildren Oscar, Alfie, Cameron and Lachlan, son- and daughter-in-law Darren and Hannah, and extended family, wish to express our heartfelt appreciation for everyone’s expressions of sympathy, kindness and support following the recent loss of our dad.

Special thanks to all those who travelled long distances to be with us, especially Pat’s brother Brendan and his wife Margaret. We appreciated every mass card, sympathy card and message of condolence received.  We were thankful the church service could be watched online so that dad’s sisters Frances, Geraldine and Stella could join us virtually from Canada, South Africa and Australia.

We acknowledge our appreciation at Father Eddie Griffin’s contemplative words and prayers for the Lying In Repose.  Sincere gratitude to Stephen Collier and his colleagues who arranged our dad’s funeral with such helpful and effortless service. 

Thank you Father Declan Gallagher for presiding over dad’s funeral Mass and burial. You provided a comforting tone of warm affection as we commemorated a wonderful man greatly missed.

Eilish Devine: your violin solo of ‘O Holy Night’ and ‘Ave Maria’ was beautifully moving; Patrick Devine-Wright, thank you for a stirring singing of ‘Ae Fond Kiss’.  

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deepest appreciation.
