First Anniversary and Acknowledgement
In loving memory of John O’Rourke whose First Anniversary falls on 18th July 2022. Much loved, greatly missed and always remembered by his children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family and friends.
At this time his family would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us and offered support and kindness over the past year. Thank you to all those who called us, attended the funeral both in person and online, sent flowers, Mass cards, letters and messages and who generously shared their memories of Johno' with us. Thanks to Dad’s friend Norman O’Rourke who played the bagpipes at the funeral.
Thanks also to Fr Paul, the sacristan, the organist, and the soloist, Leagh Murtagh O'Connell who provided such a beautiful funeral Mass. We would also like to acknowledge and thank James Cahill Undertakers for their thoughtful and professional services.
We would like to express our gratitude for the excellent care that Johno' received as a resident at Cobh Hospital since 2018. Sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of the staff. Words cannot express how grateful we are to each of you for the compassion and care given to our Dad especially during the last year and a half of his life. You became his family when we could not be there in person with him. During these trying times you gave us comfort knowing he was being looked after so well. We will always be grateful for the time, patient care and attention extended to both of our parents by Dr Harry Kelleher, a true gentleman.
Thanks also to former players and past and present committee members of Cobh Ramblers FC for their support and many tributes remembering our Dad. It was greatly appreciated.
As it is difficult to mention everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our grateful appreciation.
Remembering also our Mother, Peggy O'Rourke (nee McGroarty) whose third anniversay occurs on 24th July 2022.
Johno’s anniversary Mass will be held in St Colman’s Cathedral on Saturday July 23rd at 6pm.
