John Cassell

Rory O'Connor Place, Arklow, Wicklow

John’s sisters Margo & Sally, his brother-in-law Jimmy, nephews, nieces & all his family wish to express our most sincere thanks to everyone who offered sympathy & support at the time of John’s sad passing and throughout the weeks since.

Thank you to those who visited the funeral home, attended John’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards and letters, those who travelled long distances, all those who phoned, wrote or shared kind messages online & those who donated generously to Arklow R.N.L.I. in John’s memory.

Thank you to Dr. Doyle & all the team at Sheltonville Surgery & to Deirdre Breslin & the Palliative Care Team for the comfort & gentle care they brought to John’s final days. Thank you also to the staff of Grants Pharmacy for all their assistance.

Special thanks to Fr Pádraig Ó’Cochláin & Fr. David Brough for their blessings, prayers & beautiful funeral Mass & to Stephen Walker & Rosarie Kinsella for such lovely music.

Thanks also to Sean, Geraldine & the staff of The Old Ship for their hospitality, to Joe O’Toole & R.S.S. for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

John’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 28th May, at 6.30pm in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the parish webcam
