Winnie Donlon (née Nally)

Knockatee, Dunmore, Galway
/ Claremorris, Mayo

The family of the late Winnie Donlon, sons David and Eamon and daughter Breda, daughters-in-law Angela and Simone, son-in-law Paul, grandchildren, and extended family would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful. Thank you to our neighbours and friends who lined the road for Winnie’s final journey home and to her final resting place. A special thank you to our neighbours who served as parking marshals managing the flow of traffic during the wake and the funeral.

A special thanks to all those who participated in the funeral Mass, including Fr. Fergal, Dunmore Choir, Peadar and Winnie’s nieces who sang beautifully, the readers, the gravediggers, funeral director David Glynn and his team for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements and the friends and neighbours who brought and helped with food and refreshments. Our sincere gratitude to videographer Damien King for his video production services which meant that our family and friends could watch from afar.

Thank you to the wonderful staff of the Galway Hospice who provided care and support for Winnie at home. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Francis Glennon and all her team, Norma and Colin Brash and staff at Dunmore Pharmacy.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our appreciation and sincere gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Winnie’s Month's Mind will be celebrated at Mass in St. Nicholas Church, Dunmore, on Sunday May 22nd at 11.30am and will be available to watch live at www.dunmoreparish.com
