Month's Mind Mass for Benny O'Connor will be celebrated in Claddagh Church on May 7th at 6pm.

We, Benny's family, Maura, Lorcan, Laura, daughters-in-law Ilona and Dilis, Benny's sister Yvonne, brother in law Mickey, sisters in law, Marie, Nora and our extended O'Connor and Joyce family wish to express gratitude to all those who supported Benny in his long life and final years.

Thanks to all who attended the removal, funeral Mass and cemetery; to all who sent Mass cards, flowers, messages of sympathy, made donations to charity or shared your memories of Benny with us. Benny loved life and lived it to the full with a generosity and kindness we all will miss.

Sincere thanks to Uachatarain na hEireann President Michael D. Higgins and wife Sabina for their attendance at Benny's funeral.

Thanks to: all who travelled including Kenny O'Connor, Hamburg, Denis Manning, Bahrain, Michael Manning and Linda Byrne, California, Michael O'Flaherty, Vienna, those who came from all over Ireland, especially Padraig, Donal and Marie Brosnan, the Kingdom of Kerry.

Fr. Charlie Sweeney, MSC, Salthill and Fr. Tom McCarthy, O.P. Claddagh who officiated at Benny's funeral at Church of Christ the King, Salthill.

Wonderful musicians Una Ni Fhlannagain, Frankie Colohan, Greg and Mary Cotter, Alan Nolan, Maryanne Wangari and Joanne McCormack for making the reposing, church and graveside special and old friend Carl Hession.

All the cousins whom he loved and was so proud of;

Caitriona, Willie, Eddie, Colm and Ronan from O'Flaherty's funeral home, for lovingly caring for him on his final journey. The grave diggers at Rahoon Cemetery.

John Ryan and staff at the Ardilaun Hotel for a beautiful reception for friends and family.

We wish to express heartfelt gratitude to the following:

Yvonne Carpenter and all staff at St. Mary's Nursing Home who lovingly cared for Benny in his final weeks.

The doctors, nurses and kitchen staff at University College Hospital Galway, the paramedics, patient liaison, public health nurse Barbara ni Chulain, Dr. Dilis Clare, Niamh Killilea and Sharon Dunne-Casey for their heartfelt specialist care.

The Bluebird carers who helped Benny and continue to support and care for Maura daily.

The team at the Crescent Medical Centre - Dr. Tony Lundon for medical care since 1982, Dr. Patrick Lundon and especially Dr. Caoimhe Crosby for her exceptional kindness and care for Dad in St. Marys.

Yvonne loving, generous sister.

Thomas and Frank O'Connor for inviting family members to remember him in O'Connors Bar, and for fun and care over the years.

The community of Dominicans at Claddagh Church where he attended daily Mass, and his dear friend Dr. Dom Colbert.

The guards of honour and friendship provided by Rotarians, Corinthians and sea swimmers and Vintners golf society.

David Declan Damien Darina Ronan Mia Joyce and Colette and Martin Kirwan.

His best friend Pat Ivers for friendship over many years in good times and in bad.

Thank you to everyone who touched Benny's life in your own special way. Our gratitude to you comes from the heart, as your expressions of sympathy did. The Holy sacrifice of the mass has been offered for your intentions.
