The family of the late Una Hurley, Nursery Drive, Ballinlough and formerly of Tarbert, Co. Kerry, who died on January 12th 2020, wishes to acknowledge all those who supported us in so many ways following our sad loss. We appreciate the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness.
As we lovingly remember Una at this time, we, her family - Brendan, Miriam and Robert, offer our heartfelt thanks to the medical, nursing and caring professionals who supported Una. Special thanks to Judith Milner and Abi Daniels, Una’s wonderful home carers and her longterm GP, Dr. Mel Gilmartin for their attention over the years. Our gratitude to Helen, Paul and the staff of Bishopscourt Residential Care who cared for Una with kindness, respect and love during her two years there. We are grateful to the doctors and nurses in CUH who gave her excellent care when she was at her sickest and to Doctors Dillon and Dennis, from Curraheen Clinic, for the care, kindness and compassion shown to Una during her final days.
We are grateful to Canon James O Donovan, a weekly visitor to Una at home and who celebrated Una’s funeral mass, removal and burial services. Our thanks to Rev. Deacon David Lane, for his prayerful support while Una was sick in hospital and for his prayers in the funeral home. We would like to thank the sacristan Joan O’ Donovan and all who participated in the mass. We especially thank the exquisite children’s choir from Eglantine N.S. and their conductors, Fiona Garvey, Patricia O’ Donovan and accompanist, Paula Burke for making Una’s funeral mass so special and meaningful. We thank Jerh O Connor’s Funeral Services, Templehill for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.
We offer thanks to our families, friends, and the wonderful neighbours in Nursery Drive, especially the O’ Callaghans, and Una’s friends from Eglantine who showed kindness and love to her.
For those who travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deep gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Una’s anniversary Mass will be celebrated in Ballinlough Church on January 9th.
