William Murphy
MURPHY (Passage West/ Rochestown/ Late Kinsale golf Club, Cork):We the family of William regret to announce the death of our beloved father,grandfather and great-grandfather. WILLIAM passed away on the 9th day of May 2024,in the presences of his loving family in the Cork University Hospital having been in the Douglas Nursing and Retirement Home, Rochestown. We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Cork University Hospital ward 1B and the Douglas Nursing and Retirement Home for their kindness and the wonderful care shown to our dad during his final weeks in their care. Our dad was predeceased by his beloved wife Gretta, Nov. 22. & youngest son Paul Nov. 23.
William will be profoundly missed by his son, Gerard and daughter Hilary, grandchildren Billy, Hannah, Orlaith, Barry, Katelyn and Ailbhe. great-grandchildren. Ellie May and Callie. son- in-law Finbarr, Paul's partner Lorna, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, extended family and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh.O’Connor Ltd; On Friday (May 10th) from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.
Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Saturday (May 11th) in St. Mary’s Church, Passage West which can be viewed on
Funeral afterwards to St. Michael's Cemetery, Blackrock, Co. Cork.
