Peter Ryan

It is with deep sorrow that the Ryan family announces the unexpected passing of Peter Ryan, a cherished musician hailing from Abbeygate Street, Galway, and formerly of Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England.

Peter will be deeply mourned and dearly missed by his loving daughters, Kerri and Michelle, their partners Francis and Sophie, his sister Pauline, and her children, Tracey and Paul, residing in America. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his grandchildren, Amelia, Wilfred, Elodie and Freya, as well as many friends, both in Galway's music community and among his old companions in Borehamwood.

Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway, (H91 V1K8) on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4:30 p.m to 6:00 p.m. Following this, a celebration of Peter’s life will be held at the Crane Bar, where his melodies will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. A private cremation will be held the next day.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Peter may be made to a charity of your choosing.

Though his voice may be silent, his music will forever serenade our souls.
