Macken - Summerhill Lane, Portlaoise and formerly of Athlone, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of the staff of Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Patrick (Paddy), retired asst County Librarian, Laois County Library, former Captain Mountrath Golf Club. Cherished husband and best friend of Gabrielle, adored Dad to Gary and Carla, beloved grandfather to Caleb, Emma and Alex and loving father-in-law to Rob. He will be greatly missed by his heartbroken family his beloved doggies Maud and Matilda and his large circle of friends.

Reposing at Keegan's Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6.30pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church, for 12 noon requiem Mass. Cremation will follow on Monday in Mount Jerome at 11.15am. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Cara Rescue Dogs. House strictly private.
