Mary (Paddy) Fitzgerald
(née Hurley)

Formerly of Coolnagearagh, Scartaglen. Peacefully, on the 22nd of April 2024, in her 101st year, in the wonderful care of the Matron and Staff of the Orchid Unit, Saint Ita’s, Newcastle West and in the presence of her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy and her siblings; Margaret, Kitty, Jack, Mick, Josie, Ellen and Nora.

Deeply regretted and forever loved by her family; John Joe, Monty, Eileen (Gleeson, Cashel), Maria (Bridgeman, Shanagolden) and Mike, daughters-in-law Sheila (Groves), Mary (Kearney) and Mary (Brassil), sons-in-law Billy (Gleeson) and Mike (Bridgeman), grandchildren; Ian, Phelim, Grace, Sinead, Sandra, Ami, Mark, Patrick (Fitzgerald) Bríd and Ella (Gleeson), James and Aine(Bridgeman), their partners, 23 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces, cousins, kind neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Funeral arrangements

Reposing in Daly's Funeral Home, Scartaglen on Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday at 12 noon in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Scartaglen. Burial in Scartaglen Cemetery.
