Kathleen (Kay) McDonnell (née McDonnell) on 16th April 2024 at 95 years of age, formerly of Reaghstown, Littlegrange, London and Bettystown, peacefully and with the same dignity with which she lived her life. Beloved wife of the late Jimmy, loving Aunt to her many adoring nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Kay will be greatly missed by her loving sister Josephine but is now reunited with her husband Jimmy, her parents James and Josephine, her siblings Fr John, Jim, Fr Patsy, Briege, Tom and Brendan.

Kay qualified as a nurse in the Uk and was a dedicated midwife to and advocate for children of immigrants throughout a long and distinguished career. She led by example, was strong in her conviction and saw the future in the eyes of every baby that she guided into this world.

Kay will repose at Ryan's Funeral Home, Ashbourne, County Meath, A84 CX52 on Thursday 18th from 5pm to 6:15pm. She will be received in the Church Of The Assumption, Tullyallen, on Thursday 18th at 7pm and will be buried with her husband Jimmy after Requiem Mass at 12pm on Friday the 19th.
