Sincere condolences to our very good friend Maureen and to all of Michael’s family & friends.

Michael was like a second father to our family, treating us like his own children. Such a kind, caring and hilariously funny man.

We often laughed at a great memory from when I was a child and he would tell me to ‘stand up’ and I would respond ‘but I am already standing’.

We will miss you Michael but grateful to have known you and have fond memories

To have Michael Boyle in your life was something special. He was a unique character with a heart of gold and a wicked sense of humour.
I remember when he has his stand in Funderland, he told us to get on a ride outside. I asked him what does it do he said "Dont worry it just rows from side to side".
Needless to say that was not the case!!!!
It started off fine but the the whole thing spun right around then it stopped at the top for 10 seconds and whirled us back to the ground. Me, Katherine, Michael jnr and Peter were green getting off it, but there was Michael on the ground cracking up laughing.
I have nothing but fond memories of you Michael, you always brought love, life and laughter to every situation xx ❤️
— Fiona Donovan

Maureen, Michael Jnr and Katherine,
Reading Brian O'Malley's message brought back very similar and fond memories of Michael. I used to love the few coins he'd give us to head across the road to buy sweets, giving us endless energy for the hide and seek games we'd play. Michael was very generous to us. He was also a great man for the jokes, but what I loved the most was his story telling about him and my dad, which was obviously so great for me to hear. No doubt they are now having a good time catching up after all these years. Michael will be missed.
Our thoughts are very much with you and your families, and for our very fond memories of Michael. Our condolences and best regards and wish we could be there to join you in person for the mass.

Big man with warm and cheeky heart of a child. He was one of the rare people that remember how to be young regardless of age. As kids he spoke to us as equals. Funny, amusing, hard working, very caring and mad as a hatter. He would drop in unexpectedly, eat his way through our fridge (preferably apple pie or anything sweet), tell a joke / story , grab one of us to work at Funderland, play snooker or to buy an ice cream. Always generous, never mean spirited, and permanently helpful to strangers, friends and family. Awesome human and will be missed. Hopefully enjoying the craic with Michael Mör, Johnny B, Eamon, his brother Brian etc . He lives on in stories and many fond memories.
— David Dempsey
