Helen and Paul, i just heard about your Mams passing, I am sorry hear the news. I always had great chats with her and with your dad in the lane when he was working on his great cars. Your Mum was always very interested in other people and how they were and she always asked me about my dear mum. Your mum was a lady and always looked great. I will remember you all in my prayers 🙏xx

I was introduced to Midget Car Racing via the back lane at home by Joey and Mary, and what a wonderful friendship grew out of that. Many Saturdays were spent in the garage preparing cars, and Mary would round it off about 8:00pm with a delicious ‘coq au vin’ dinner and a bottle of ‘the bishop’s’ would be shared.
