Deepest sympathy to Linda and family on the loss of John. Remember his calls to the kitchen in the Riverbank and the banter amongst the kitchen crew on whatever was the major problem baffling the government of the day and of course like his fellow taxi drivers (they should all be in parliament) he would be the one who came closest to a simple solution. On a more serious note when I was not a well man his kind words and practical offer of transport at any time I might need it has never been forgotten. Rest in peace John, will miss your cheery wave as you buzzed down the highway.

I have so many great childhood memories of summers with John, Linda and the girls in Bannow, he always made things so special and fun for us and was always so kind and generous. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with Linda, Ruth, Kate and all of John’s family and friends.

Dear Linda and family,
John was a wonderfully helpful person, and not just for his family. He drove and looked after our guests for over 20 years. He always managed to find the right thing for each individual. Guests have become friends, all of whom share his grief and have asked me to pass on their condolences.
