Deepest condolences to Jeni's family and friends. I've many happy memories of Jeni as a teenager at school and Irish college. She was always kind and so quick to joke or make a funny face that would have the rest of us in stitches. And she had such an infectious laugh too! Lots of fun was had with Jeni. I'm very sad to see this news of her passing.
— Miriam Deasy
So sorry to hear this news, what a beautiful, classy Lady , RIP Jeni xx
— Tina McCarthy
I still remember the first day I met Jeni, she was the latest edition to the Park and we all wanted to get to know her, and we did and she was part of my growing up from that day on. I remember our first day in Loreto and the excitement over our new uniforms as we all headed off together. Jeni was a part of my life in some way over the years, as we grew and grew wings. Forty years our friendship spanned over (and we didn't see each other for many years but all up we packed many laughs, tears, fun and (being honest) little teenage tiffs into that we laughed at later. From travels to Stratford on Avon, Irish College and eventually to Australia together our friendship stood the test of big gaps until we saw each other again. I am devastated for her family, friends, wider friendship group and all who loved Jeni for the funny, kind and beautiful person she was. I am heartbroken that I won't see her again as was always mentioned in our adhoc messages from different sides of the world. Thinking of you Rose, Tom, Darrin, Marianne and your families.
— Nicola Brandon
Sending love to Jeni's family and loved ones, she was one in a million - a brilliant friend who brought so much to those who knew her. I'll always cherish good memories of training, of travel, of nights out and chats, always with her sense of fun, her determination and a smidge of a sense of mischief. She will be so very missed.
