My deepest condolences to all the McGarrigle family, Hugo was always so welcoming to me, generous with stories, and full of hospitality. I remember dropping by one day and he had picked mussels in Donegal and he cooked them up for me and Ken. The mass was beautiful. You all did him proud. XX

We were so sorry to hear of Hugo’s passing. I had just met him a few short weeks ago and we had lovely chat. He was one of the first people I met when moving to Foxford. He was at the playground with his beloved grandchildren. He was an absolute gentleman, that big smile of his would light up every room, with a glint of devilment in his eye.
