I had the pleasure of meeting George on a few occasions visiting my family in Glenties. He was a lovely gentle man. Condolences to his family and friends. May he RIP.

I first got to know George delivering coal to him on the Glen Road on the wildness of winter nights. We..Frances and I always loved getting into the heat for awhile and having the crack with him. He was just one of the best and I'm sure he would'nt be afraid of dying cause he would see his afterlife as an extension of this one. At peace with one and All and a gentleness that was infectious. Rest in Peace my Friend.

George, a true gentleman with quick wit & a love for music. I’m so glad I got to meet you this year while joining the choir. I hope your gentle soul is at rest, and that there will forever be music in the sky. Rest in peace, George. Condolences to all his family and friends.

One of lifes true gentleman. It was always a privilege to meet George when i was in Glenties. He always had time for a chat and always had a smile on his face. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. On behalf of my family and i may we offer sympathy to his family neighbours and many friends.Glenties will be a much poorer place without George. Last time i met george was glenties harvest fair 2023.May your gentle soul rest in peace george.

I didn’t ever get to speak to George in person but felt I knew him for years, He had the most gentle endearing mannerisms & an aura of peace always , I don’t think I ever saw him without a smile!
