I was deeply saddened by the learning of Bridget’s passing. We met at Artform a few years back and both stayed in touch with plans to meet up again some day for a gallivant around Loop head. She was a kind, generous mentor and I felt the presence of her continued support, like a guiding light.
In my short time knowing Bridget she was a true inspiration to me. She seemed to be an enlightened soul who saw beauty in everything, living life to the fullest and always with integrity. I will cherish these memories I have of her.

Bob, Ian, Isobel and Hugh.

Words can seem pointless at awful times like this but it's important that we send you all our condolences and love. Bridget just cannot be replaced as she was such a unique human being.

We are beyond sorry to hear she is gone and that you have lost your most lovely, bright, and energetic wife and mother.

We will miss her so much. Her eagerness to share a strong cup of coffee or glass of wine with us and buzzing over crazy ideas about life, art and a good book..

Will miss her absolute warmth and sense of fun about everything yet also sharing serious conversations too.

Her complete love for you, Bob and her kids shone so strong. She loved, loved, loved her family and her visual art world.

She was artist in residence in Ballycastle, Co. Mayo where I am from and she would send me texts about the incessant rain there and how she loved being out in it and how it inspired her! I never heard anyone speaking so positively about the wild weather in Mayo! She often brought Emrys pebbles or stones from her beach walking and they are still on our patio as well as her paintings in our home that we are so lucky to have.

Hard to believe and wishing you strength in the most beautiful memories you have of her. Go well, Bridget. We will miss you.

from your friends,
Rozz, Simon and Emrys Lewis.
