The death has occurred of Carmel Strickland (née Lenihan) Hopestown, Ballinea, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and formerly of Connaught St., Phibsborough and Prospect Square, Glasnevin, Dublin - April 4, 2024 (peacefully) in her 91st year with her family by her side at Roselodge Nursing Home Killucan.
Predeceased by her husband Brian, son-in-law Alec (Henry) and sisters Maureen and Peggy. Carmel will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, daughter Barbara, her loving grandchildren Sarah and Jason, great-grandchildren, Ruby, Cathal, Caoimhe, Laoise and Cian, sister Jean (USA), nieces, especially Kathleen, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan's Funeral Home Mullingar N91 K660 on Sunday, April 7th, from 4 pm concluding with prayers at 5 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, April 8th, at 10.30 am in St Peter’s Church, Phibsborough, followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.
