John Byron

The death occurred on 15th April 2024 of John Byron, 110 Chestnut Grove, Castlebar and Tone Street, Ballina, peacefully, in the care of the staff at Abbeybreaffy Nursing Home, Castlebar.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen née Thornton (Foxford), his son Michael and daughters Kathryn and Monica, his grandchildren Liam and Alice, his relatives and friends.

John will repose at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar from 6.30pm to 8.00pm on Tuesday 16th April. The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 2.00pm on Wednesday. The funeral Mass can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3fm and it will be live-streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar. Afterwards John will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.
