James (Seamie) Bridgett

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James (Seamie) Bridgett of Ballinvalley, Clifden, Co.Kilkenny and formerly of Garryduff, Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny. Seamie passed away peacefully on 20th April 2024, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family at home.

Seamie was predeceased by his son Shay, sisters Sheila, Lila, Maura, and Anna. He is deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, his daughters Anna and Maura, sons-in-law Gerry and Owen, and his grandchildren Denis, James, Sinead, Harry, Georgina, and Chloe. He is deeply missed by his relatives, neighbours, and friends.

May Seamie Rest in Peace

Seamie will be reposing at Cushen's Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow (R21 V127) on Sunday, 21st April from 4pm to 8pm, with prayers at 7pm. A Requiem Mass will be held at 11am on Monday, 22nd April, at St. Scuithin's Church, Castlewarren, Co. Kilkenny (R95 NX37). Burial immediately afterwards at Paulstown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Irish Cancer Society or Castlecomer District Hospital if desired.
