Des (Sparrow) KENNEDY

Des (Sparrow) KENNEDY, Tailteann Court, Mullingar, (formerly of St. Laurence's Terrace, Mullingar) April 11, 2024, (peacefully) following a long illness, bravely borne with great courage and dignity, in the excellent care of the staff and nurses at Newbrook Care Centre; pre-deceased by his beloved wife Bernie. Des will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his heart-broken daughters Donna and Ann, his adored grandchildren Kyle, Simone, Matthew and Joseph, great-grandchild Reuben, his brothers Oliver and Gerard, sister Lily, sons-in-law Darryl and Adrian, sisters-in-law Carmel and Brenda, nephews, nieces, relatives and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Shaw's Funeral Home, Bishopsgate St., Mullingar, on Monday evening, April 15, from 4.00 o'c. until 6.00 o'c. followed by removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 o'c. Funeral Mass at 11.00 o'c on Tuesday morning, followed by burial in Ballyglass Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society at www.cancer.ie
