So many fond memories of Mary on the sidelines of our hockey games – handing out the oranges with her spirited chat and wit. An absolute gem who was always our cheerleader.

To the Breen girls - I knew your mum when I was a young teacher and again when I was a trainee educational psychologist - I remember being in Ballinahown NS coming up to Christmas and Mary had a fabulous tradition - she brought each of her pupils a special Christmas present and they too brought her a special Christmas present - the excitement and wonder that she created for the pupils was a delight to see with Mary being equally as full of glee and enthusiasm as her pupils ! There was a magic about her. She was so welcoming and warm. May her warmth and kindness sustain you all x
