I offer my deepest condolences to the O'Regan Leder family on the passing of Katalin. I was one of Katalin's art teachers over the last two years in St. John's College and I can say that she was one of the most naturally, artistically talented students that I've had the privilege to work with. You could not meet a more honest and kindhearted person. She was a great friend to so many in the college, she will be deeply missed and always remembered.

Liebe Emily, liebe Gabi, lieber Peter,
wir kennen euch noch nicht lange und haben uns nicht oft getroffen. - ausgenommen natürlich Luna, die schon so oft herzlich bei euch aufgenommen wurde. Wir denken sehr gerne an unseren Besuch bei euch in Belgooly, an den unglaublichen Ausblick ins Tal und an eure herzliche Gastfreundschaft. Wir freuen uns, dass wir eure beiden wunderbaren Töchter vorletzten Sommer für ein paar Tage bei uns in Lübeck zu Besuch hatten. So durften wir dann auch Katalin kennenlernen und obwohl wir nicht viel Zeit mit ihr hatten, sind wir traurig und wünschten, sie würde noch leben. Wir spüren die Verbindung zu ihr, was uns einen Trost gibt und uns begleitet. Auf ihrem Weg möge sie all das erfahren, was ihr im Leben hier gefehlt hat. Vielleicht schickt sie uns einen Gruß, wir werden aufmerksam sein, um ihn nicht zu übersehen.
Wir haben, als Emily und Katalin bei uns waren, die Verbindung zwischen den beiden gespürt. Wir glauben, dass diese Verbindung mit dem Abschied aus unserer Welt weiterhin besteht. Dass die eine auf die andere weiter aufpasst und die Geschicke im Guten lenkt. Auch wenn wir vieles nicht verstehen können.
Danke, dass wir über das Internet an der Trauerfeier teilnehmen konnten.
