I was very sorry to hear of David's death. I always enjoyed meeting him at actuarial events and it is sad that he and Ronan have both been taken so early. Sincere condolences to the O'Connor family.

I only learnt today of Davey's passing - all my sympathies and condolences. He was such a lovely person.

David will be hugely missed by the actuarial community in Ireland for his insightful contribution to discussion and debates as well as his wonderful sense of humour and fun. He was hugely influential on me in my early career as head of the WTW non-life team when I joined as a graduate. I learned so much from working with him and made some great memories outside of the office including hiking the Four Peaks. May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to all of the O Connor family. Great memories of fishing with both David and Ronan with my late father Des on Kilbride Anglers trips. He served for many years on the committee for Kilbride Anglers Club. Today’s send off was lovely and he will be sadly missed.

Great memories of Davy, from the early 80’s bumping into himself and Ronan in their usual drinking haunts around town, to a more recent walk with him through Trinity College as he regaled me with the tales of his adventurous trip through New Zealand.
