I am so sad and without words to have just discovered Ciaran has passed. To Dick , Ann & Family . Ciaran was a wonderful young man he left George , Liam and I with some fantastic memories when playing NDSL soccer with Chanel . May you treasure his memory.

It is so hard to believe that the funny guy with a big heart and devotion to his family who brought a smile to everyone’s face is no longer with us.

I had the pleasure of working with Ciaran at Chubb and AmTrust and got to know him well.

Many chats were had going through the weekend sport from his swimming exploits - especially the Liffey swim experiences, football, NFL and Rugby to local league football matches as well as Star Wars lines and characters….this is the way.

After a recent catch up chat with Ciaran he ‘saved the best joke for last’ and had both of us going on our way laughing out loud at his humour.

That is how I will always remember Ciaran.

Always upbeat, always humorous, always looking at the bright side of life.

Rest in Peace Ciaran, you will be greatly missed by so many people.

Sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Ciarzy. I have such great memories of the time I spent with Ciarzy starting in the summer of 2000 in Chicago. Whenever there was fun and mischief, Ciarzy was usually by my side. Never a dull moment, I regret losing contact with such a gent. May his soul rest in peace.

I will miss his snappy wit, and the constant one upmanship that naturally happened every year during the fantasy football season. He was truly one of a kind and a huge loss to all that knew him.

He spoke about his family every day and was so proud of his girls . All of his annual leave was planned around them.

I met him last summer at Clontarf Baths gearing up for the LOS season and he was so nice and very funny talking about coming out of the sea after a race, wanting his family to see his big moment but the girls, who were much younger, were clambering on the rocks and Emma was wiped minding them. After that, we'd greet each other on Saturday mornings at NAC as he waited for his girls. He was always cheerful, smiling and full of the chat. It's hard to believe that he is gone. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.

I met Ciarzy on a J1 summer in Chicago. I was lucky enough to move into the apartment next door to his. We spent a brilliant summer there and Ciarzy is at the heart of some of my happiest memories from that summer. Although we lost touch over the years it was an absolute pleasure to have known him. RIP Ciarzy.

There was never a point trying to compete with Ciarzy! He lit up every room he walked into. He shone brightly while we were lucky enough to have him here with us, and I’ve no doubt his positivity, and love will live on in Mirabelle and Poppy. Ciarzy was a star always, and he’s a star yet; keeping an eye on Emma and the girls from above.
