I had worked with her for many years on Crampton ward, she always had a smile on her face and no matter how busy or stressful the ward was she always made time for the patients and put a smile on their faces, she treated everyone with such kindness and respect. Charlotte was one of my dearest childhood friends. We attended Sandford National School from age 4-12 and remained close friends throughout that period. She was a beautiful child, and by far the smartest kid in our class. She loved to read and draw. I remember she got angry with me one day because I sharpened all of her pencils. She liked them to be dull and to draw bluntly. We would have incredible play dates where we would allow our imaginations to take us all sorts of places. She was fiercely loyal and very fair. I was often a cheeky little boy, and she would never hesitate to call me out. We lost touch through High School, but we went to a Bob Dylan concert at the Point when we were 17 and met a few other times after that. Remi and Anne, my heart breaks for you both and I was devastated to hear the news. Charlotte was an absolutely sensational one of a kind, and I was privileged to know her. She will be dearly missed. We never met Charlotte, but when our mutual friend Sylvie told us of her death, I knew exactly who she was talking about. Willie was a dear friend of our family, especially to my late brother Nicholas, his wife Kirsty, my sister Anne and her husband Michael Church. Very best wishes at this desperately sad time.

Anne, Remi and extended family, sincerest sympathy on the passing of Charlotte. As a nurse in TUH for many years, she made a real difference to patients and families and to her many colleagues through her kindness, compassion and expertise.
