Mum, Dad and I first met Brigid at Moorehall Lodge the Christmas of '22. A man dressed as a leprechaun was singing obscure country songs, and we quickly bonded over some friendly heckling, and the love for 'Me and Bobby Mc Gee'. From then on, my folks sat with Brigid and Aileen every day for meals; indeed Brigid would get there early to keep the seats.
When my dad died last August she was a true friend to my mum, encouraging her to keep going, and giving her the benefit of her wisdom. Feisty, funny and fiercely loyal, we will miss our dear Brigid. And we never did get the chance to sing 'Don't cry for me, Argentina' together.

Rest in peace Brigid, my first resident friend-I will never forget you. You were the person to always put a smile on my face and brighten my day in work. I loved hearing you coming down the corridor to my desk every day, loved sharing a cuppa with you while we watched the door, loved to hear your gossip, poetry and stories. You had the best advice and guidance whenever I needed it. I appreciated your prayers and friendship more than you will know. I will keep your photo by my desk for the rest of my time here to see your smile. The Home is so quiet without your divilment! You finally got on your last train home, Jesus stopped at your station this time Bid <3 Condolences to your wonderful family. xx
