The death has occurred of Carmel Hynes (née Garvey), Carnmore, Oranmore, Co. Galway and formerly of Castlegar, Kilcolgan.

Carmel passed away peacefully on March 27th 2024, surrounded by her loving family and in the exceptional care of University Hospital Galway Staff and Dr. Krawczyk’s Haematology team.

Predeceased by her parents Michael and Bridget.

Very sadly missed by her loving husband Tom, daughter Joanne, son-in-law Eric, her sisters-in-law Angela, Mary, Noreen, Chrissie, Noreen and brothers-in-law Hughie, John Joe and Marcus, her cousin Helen, the extended Hynes, Garvey and Bermingham families, neighbours and friends.

May Carmel’s kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Sioroíocht (H91 XH02) in the grounds of the Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway, on Good Friday, 29th March from 4:30pm until 6.00pm. Funeral Service on Saturday, 30th March, at 2:15pm followed by burial in Claregalway Cemetery.
