PRAYER OF BLESSING IN TIME OF GRIEF

May our hearts be opened by the pain of our loss

May the absence of the one we loved bring us to serenity

May our tears heal our hidden wounds

May our memories call us forth, inviting us to gratitude for what

was and what is in our hearts

May the spirit of the one we have loved stand beside us

so to gift us with the priceless gift of serenity in our pain

May their spirit go to the place of Heavenly freedom so that we

can continue the healing road of life and living, now dark, now grey

One day with God’s help we will turn life’s road to see

The healing light of Jesus and our loved one

May they bless us with a healing heart so that we are gifted

And blessed to love again.
